Upcoming LG Phones 2014: G3 Flagship Gets Dual-SIM Version, Exclusive In China?

In an attempt to get closer to his Korean sibling, LG is trying to launch as many upcoming LG phones for 2014 as possible. However, it does not put to much effort in developing new phones, but various versions of its flagship devices in order to retain the branding. That worked for the Galaxy S series of Samsung, and so LG wants to get the same results.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the Korean-based electronics giant has just unveiled another version of its LG G3 flagship, and it is simply dubbed as the 'dual-SIM LG G3'.

In the report, the smartphone gets all of the original handset's specs which include a 5.5-inch display with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM and a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz.

On the camera side, the G3 Dual also has a 13MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, and a 2.1MP front shooter to do the selfie shots and video calls.

The phone comes with 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, the usual connectivity features like Wi-Fi, NFC, LTE, and Bluetooth, and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.

This particular version supports dual-SIM, dual standby mode, which means while making a call or sending a text message using the first SIM, you are still capable of getting mobile data through the other SIM.

In the report, the LG G3 Dual will have a model number of D858 and is already available in Chinese online retailers with a price tag of CNY 3,999 or about $649. The device will still come with its usual color options which include Titanium Black and Moonlight White.

The only sad thing about this news is that details for international availability are not clear.
