Katy Perry got her nose pierced and had it recorded and posted the video on her Instagram account.

The 29-year-old pop superstar shared a video of her having her nose pierced on August 15 on her official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, and captioned the clip: "Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro's. Sorry mom (again)."

"Dark Horse" singer is seen wincing in pain and grimacing in the video, causing the trained piercer to become unsettled and remark "I know, I'm sorry! Don't say anything. You're making me hurt."

The procedure was an attempt to repair the damage caused from when the pop star attempted to pierce her nose as a teenager, Mirror reported.

In 2012, the "Roar" songstress recalled her rebellious act and said on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno": "I asked my mother permission so I could get my nose pierced and of course she didn't give it to me."

"She said it was ridiculous and she wasn't gonna do that. So she then went on an errand, so I took a safety pin and a piece of ice and I pierced my own nose," Perry said. "I still have this horrible scar that everybody brings up when they get really close."

As of writing, the video of Katy Perry getting her nose pierced has 277,000 plus likes on Instagram, 4000 plus retweets on Twitter, and 265,500 plus likes on Facebook.

A couple of weeks ago, Perry released the music video for her song "This Is How We Do." The singer is currently continuing her international tour that will stretch into spring 2015, according to Music Times.
