The film adaptation of Lois Lowry's 1993 American children's novel debuted in various US theaters on August 15. Aside from its US release, moviegoers in Canada and India can now watch "The Giver" full movie. The film directed by Phillip Noyce also premiered in those countries yesterday.

Next week, more moviegoers in other parts of the world can watch The Giver full movie in the big screen. According to the international release schedule posted on IMDB, the film will arrive in South Korea, Estonia, Singapore and Poland next week.

As for The Giver's box office new, Deadline.com reported that it is likely that the newcomer will be in the Top 5 on its first weekend. Particularly, The Giver's domestic box office sales may end up with $13M for this weekend.

Leading the box office records this weekend is the 2014 remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles starring Megan Fox. The Deadline report estimated that the TMNT 2014 is likely to earn more than $116 million this weekend.

Aside from The Giver, which stars Brenton Thwaites, Katie Holmes, Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep, other new movies that debuted this week are "The Expendables 3" and "Let's Be Cops."
