Robin Williams Death: A Solemn And Private Funeral For The Late 'Patch Adams' Actor Held On Saturday

His widow and close family and friends in California, according to Daily Mail, have held a private, solemn memorial for the late comedian Robin Williams, Saturday.

Williams on Monday was found dead, he was 63. His third wife, Susan Schneider has planned the service to give family and friends the private time to bid goodbye to the award-winning actor.

In a statement released to The New York Times, Monday, Schneider asked for privacy while the family grief for his husband's death.

"This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken," she began.

"On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope that the focus will not be on Robin's death but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

On Thursday aside from depression, his widow also revealed that Williams is suffering from early stages of Parkinson's disease and anxiety.

Health experts said that the Parkinson's disease might have exacerbated William's severe depression.

"It is our hope in the wake of Robin's tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid," Schneider was quoted as saying in a statement, Thursday.

The report also disclosed that a comedy benefit would be held to honor the actor.

 Williams have three children and also issued statements on the death of their father.

Zak Williams, the comedian's first son, stated ''I would ask those that loved him to remember him by being as gentle, kind, and generous as he would be."

In a special segment, award-giving body, Emmy's will also be honoring Williams with a "meaningful" tribute.
