iOS 8 beta 6 update release date set to arrive tomorrow, August 18.

In less than 24 hours, it is possible that Apple users, especially developers, will be able to get hold of the newest beta version for the iOS 8. According to a report from Phones Review, the iOS 8 beta 6 release date might happen this Monday, based on Apple's release history for its beta firmware for its older mobile operating system.

The iOS 8 beta 6 is expected to be the final test version for the upcoming firmware. Product Reviews website also mentioned a possible iOS 8 beta 6 release time, based on previous launch pattern of the iPhone maker.

Accordingly, the former downloads were released at 1 PM Eastern Time and 6 PM UK Time, which means Apple might also release the iOS 8 beta 6 around this time.

After its release, Apple will prepare for the launch of the iOS 8 Gold Master or GM, which may occur several weeks after the arrival of the sixth beta version.

The iPhone Wiki described the Gold Master or the GM as "typically the final build of a piece of software in the beta stages for developers."

As for a more specific iO8 GM release date, Apple enthusiasts can look forward for the availability of the Gold Master next month. Specifically, the Cupertino-tech firm could release the iOS 8 GM shortly after the keynote address which is set to happen during an Apple event, allegedly scheduled for September 9.

Currently, the iOS 8 beta 5 is available, first released by Apple on August 4. One of the features found on the new beta firmware is Apple's continuity feature called the SMS Relay. BGR.com noted that "after installing iOS 8 beta 5, Apple users will receive a "popup that asks them whether they want to use their phone numbers for SMS Relay on their MacBooks running OS X Yosemite."
