Henry Cavill girlfriend Gina Carano may still have a match with current MMA champ Ronda Rousey, reports suggest. The latest we’ve heard in the developments of a possible fight between Carano and Rousey was from UFC President Dana White who shared that the negotiations between her and Carano is “complicated.” But there are news suggesting that the actress is now entertaining Bellator as a possibility.

On the UFC front, speculations suggest that what’s making things difficult is Carano’s schedule, primarily a film she maybe involved in that will run on the same dates as the fights.

The MMA fighter, actress and fitness model had an impressive 7-1 winning streak in the sport before moving onto Hollywood to become an action star. The 32-year-old has won against veterans like Rosi Sexton, Kaitlin Young, Tonya Evinger, and Julie Kedzie in the cage. Her only recorded loss was with “Cyborg” Justino in August 2009.

MMAFighting.com notes that Gina Carano has also begun engaging in preliminary talks with Bellator. The website said that there could be plenty of reasons why the athlete may want to choose the competing UFC entity, citing it below:

“1. Bellator/Viacom have already proven they'll shell out big money for select talent who can, to use one of the more infamous MMA phrases of 2014, "move the needle," and Carano will bring the company a huge buzz. 2. She wouldn't have to cut down to 135, which was a stretch of an idea even during her heyday, since Bellator appears ready to focus on featherweights. 3. She wouldn't have to take a quick-but-vicious ass-kicking from Ronda Rousey. 4. Viacom is far more likely to be receptive to the idea of promoting Carano's movies/finding her other work within their corporate realm. 5. She already has a good working relationship with Scott Coker.”

Regardless of what happens, however, it seems that the buzz surrounding Carano’s next moves may only prove to be helpful for her athletic career.
