A mysterious and special live stream has been announced for Pokemon fans, and one name that keeps popping up is Pokemon Delta Emerald.

According to PokeJungle, it's been announced that a special Pokemon live stream will stream on August 26 at 9AM EST, titled Monthly Famitsu feat. Pokmeon Special on NicoNico.

Reportedly, the stream will be hosted by Ayana Tsubaki and Bunbun-maru, and will feature Tsunekazu Ishihara, the President of The Pokemon Company, as well as Hobuhiko Okamoto and Aoi Yuuki (voice actor Iris in the anime).

Although it is unknown whether a game, manga, or something else entirely will be revealed through this event, fans are hoping it will be the announcement of Pokemon Delta Emerald, the rumored sequel to Emerald that will somehow tie into Zygarde and Pokemon X and Y.

"Maybe Delta Emerald is coming out some months after [Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire] and it was a secret," commented MancingCascoon on PokeJungle.

"I so hope by the grace of God that it turns out to be the new region/Zygarde game," wrote HeavyMetalFairy.

In May, Serebii confirmed that a new trademark has been discovered for Delta Emerald, registered by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc.

Others, however, are less optimistic.

"It most probably isn't a main series game," added Cool Glaceon on August 18. "They wouldn't overshadow ORAS or Z by letting the public know both of them before either one of them is released. It would either be Pokken Fighters or…Pokemon Snap remake?"

"They're probably just going to announce the next movie to be honest," opined ShinyLickitung.

During the Pokemon X and Y movie premiere, it's been confirmed by viewers that a trailer for the next Pokemon movie is attached. Reportedly, the movie will involve Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre introduced in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, although no other details are known at this point.
