iPhone 6 Rumored To Get Only 1GB Of RAM For A8 Chip?

Apple's new smartphone is just around the corner, and let's start the week with another iPhone 6 rumor that will surely be a massive disappointment for some Apple fans.

After getting a bigger display and new design, the iPhone 6 will reportedly come with only 1GB of RAM, just like its immediate predecesoors which include the 5, 5s and 5c.

The report comes from GSM Arena, which have gotten hold of a leaked document courtesy of GeekBar, showing that the new A8 chipset, the latest and fastest chip yet from Apple, will only pack 1GB of RAM.

While the Cupertino manufacturer has been effective in keeping the RAM low and still delivering top-notch performance, 1GB of RAM for a 4.7-inch device may not be too appealing if you think of it.

The iPhone has come a long way from its 128MB RAM in the iPhone 3G, 256MB for the iPhone 3GS, 512MB for iPhone 4 and 4s, and 1GB for the last three iPhones. And if this rumor is true, we are certain that Apple would find a way to make this work.

However, aside from allegedly retaining the RAM for the iPhone 6, Apple is certainly making its new iPhone as the best smartphone ever with the help of new design, a Touch ID home button, the new iOS 8 version, and a sapphire display.

We won't wait long as the new iPhone is set to make its debut by this time next month. However, when Apple does launch its new devices, particularly the iPhone, it would face tremendous competition from Android manufacturers. While there aren't a lot of Android slates which could pose a threat to the iPads, there are already a number of Android Wear smartwatches which would surely raise the standard high for the upcoming iWatch.
