Ever since Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting's characters got engaged, many viewers wondered if "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 would witness Leonard and Penny's wedding.

While the filming for the new season has been delayed due to a conflict in contract between the CBS network and the show's three main stars, several "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 spoilers continuously surfaced.

Despite Leonard and Penny's chemistry, it will allegedly take some time before they tie the knot. Penny will be giving up her acting aspirations and instead work as a pharmaceutical sales representative at Bernadette's company. This decision will cause conflicts between her and her fiancé especially when she started to rake in a decent amount of cash.

Penny's goal is to push the wedding date as far as possible so that people won't speculate that she is pregnant. Meanwhile, Cuoco-Sweeting appears to be excited with Leonard and Penny's wedding.

"I'm hoping next season will involve a lot of wedding stuff, I think that would be really fun. If I had to guess, Leonard is probably more of the planner than Penny, which would be very funny. Everyone's growing up a little bit," she told Women's Health magazine.

On the other hand, although it is still unclear where Sheldon headed, executive producer Steve Molaro hinted that Sheldon's departure wouldn't compromise his relationship with Amy.

"I would argue that they do have their own weird brand of happiness right now. That kiss on the train is pretty indicative of that," he said.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 will air on September 22.
