iPad Pro Rumors: 12.9" Slate Launch Delayed Until 2015, Apple's Schedule Too Cramped For Q3 And Q4 2014

Ever since the year began, there have been a number of iPad Pro rumors which have made the rounds all over the Web. In spite of the alleged leaks coming from all over the Internet, Apple's most awaited tablet may not make it in time this year.

According to a recent report by Christian Today, Trusted Reviews obtained sources from Foxconn that they are currently working on a 12.9-inch screen panel with 4K resolution.

If that tells us something, it's that those screen panels may just be intended for the iPad Pro which is rumored to get a 12.9-inch display. However, dating those rumors back as early as December 2013, we can't help but wonder what took Apple too long in developing the device.

One speculation is that the Cupertino manufacturer may have actually waited for Samsung to launch its own 12-inch slate, the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, and see how it would perform in a then competitive tablet market.

In spite the show Samsung showcased during the CES in Las Vegas in January, its 12.2-inch Android slate never became a hit, which could have prompted Apple to postpone the development of the device for the latter part of the year.

Now that the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 are expected to get new versions this year, development for the iPad Pro may still be on going, though it certainly isn't the priority right now.

Definitely, Apple's focus is on the next generation iPad Air 2 which is expected to boast the same build and design, but get a more powerful chipset, more RAM, and the ability to run two apps simultaneously through iOS 8's split screen feature.

In comparison, the iPad Pro is expected to get an 11.3-inch Retina display with 2700 x 2025 screen resolution, an ARM-based chip, a Touch ID home button, and a primary camera that is 'hidden' underneath the Apple logo at the back.

We'll bring you more details and leaks about Apple's biggest tablet ever in the next couple of weeks.
