iPhone 6 Release Date: Biggest iPhone Yet Getting 128GB Built-In Storage?

The iPhone 6 release date is just several weeks away and slowly we are getting all of the important details of the upcoming smartphone.

A couple of days ago, there were reports that the upcoming iPhone 6 would only boast 1GB of RAM just like the iPhone 5, 5s and 5c. That may not be the case for the 5.5-inch version, but still a 4.7-inch smartphone should get more than 1GB right?

Fortunately, a new rumor will brighten your day.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, a leaked document tells us that the new iPhone 6 will get up to 128GB of built-in memory. While we don't expect the device to come with a microSD card slot, 128GB is more than enough for your needs whether you love downloading movies, files and others.

In the report, the iPhone 6 will get a number of storage options including 16GB by Toshiba and Hynix, Hynix and SanDisk for the 64GB option, and Toshiba for the 128GB version.

It is interesting to note that the 32GB version is no where to be found in the leaked document. For the past years, Apple has included only 3 storage options for its iPhones, which include a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB version. It could very well be that the Cupertino manufacturer has decided to leave the 32GB option and stick with the 16GB entry-level edition instead.

The upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be launched in September and should be available in select markets by the end of that month. For the first time in the iPhone's history, Apple will directly take on Android's bigger smartphones, most specially the recently launched iPhone killer dubbed Galaxy Alpha by Samsung.
