Is ‘Flappy Bird' Dong Nguyen’s New Game 'Swing Copters' Too Difficult? Download Available Free On App Store And Google Play

“Flappy Bird” creator Dong Nguyen just released a new game available for download on the App Store and Google Play - but is the gameplay of “Swing Copters” too difficult to enjoy?

“Swing Copters” is free for download on both the App Store and Google Play but is currently only available in some countries. “Flappy Bird” creator Dong Nguyen assured his fans that it will be coming to other areas soon, CBS News reports.

But is “Swing Copters” too hard?

“In the new app, users tap a smartphone screen to direct a character wearing a propeller headpiece flying vertically and navigating swinging, hammer-like obstacles. The title is similar in design and feel to ‘Flappy Bird,’ in which users made a bird fly horizontally through gaps in pipes to score points,” Bloomberg News writes.

Though it’s similar to “Flappy Bird,” it isn’t nearly as easy to score.

According to CBS News, one user commented on the game's Google Play page, saying, "This game is incredibly frustrating and utterly difficult to the point that it sucks all the fun out of it."

Others said it was "challenging" and "frustrating, but fun."

According to NBC News, many users could play “Swing Copters” for hours and not score a single point, which is understandably frustrating. Nguyen's own top score is a measly 8, but gamers will soon learn that this is “no small feat,” NBC News reports.

Dong Nguyen’s new game was released after he removed the immensely popular "Flappy Bird" game from the app stores in February. Some speculated Nintendo threatened the creator for the game's similar look to the "Super Mario Bros." franchise. Others suggested that use of fake accounts inflated the downloads count.

But Nguyen said his decision was "not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore."

Nguyen, who lives in Vietnam and developed the game on his own, wrote on Twitter that the Internet sensation caused by the game "ruins my simple life."

Looks like he got bored with the simple life.
