Derrick Rose News: Should D-Rose Quit Team USA For The Sake Of Bulls' NBA Finals Hopes?

In case you are looking for the latest Derrick Rose news, the 25-year-old point guard was sidelined during Team USA's scrimmage with the Dominican Republic.

While the US team dominated the game and won by more than 50 points, the main issue here is that Rose was allegedly experiencing discomfort and pain in his surgically-repaired knees.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the former MVP has been experiencing 'general body fatigue'.

Fortunately, team officials and Rose continue to downplay the situation, and insists that it is just normal to experience such conditions considering the fact that this is the most basketball Rose has played in the past two years.

But do these 'normal' instances of discomfort already be a sign for the 25-year-old star to quit Team USA and just focus on playing in the upcoming NBA season?

No matter how much he has been praised by coaches and teammates in Team USA, even if he performs well during FIBA World in Spain, or even if they win the world title because of him, it oil boils down to whether he'd be able to give Chicago the title hopes it has been hoping for the past couple of years.

This upcoming NBA season, Chicago will have the best team on paper under the tenure of head coach Tom Thibodeau. The Bulls now have young offensive gunners in Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic to help ease the load from Rose on the perimeter, while premier veteran Pau Gasol will team up with reigning Defensive Player for the Year Joakim Noah to complete arguably the best front court in the NBA today.

Of course, Thibs' defensive players in Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson are still there to provide the spark off the bench. For Derrick Rose, he should be grateful that Chicago has built this kind of team upon his return. The question now is whether he'd be able to play in the gruelling 82-game season and last until deep into the Playoffs.

His decision on playing with Team USA is definitely a factor in that case.
