HTC One E8 Gets Blue Version In Hong Kong, Plastic-Made Flagship Still Considered To Be Better Than Original Flagship

The HTC One E8 is the Taiwanese manufacturer's cheaper version of its One M8 flagship, and even from a distance you can see the difference.

The One E8's polycarbonate plastic just looks much inferior to the aluminum metal chassis of the One M8.

However, as far as their internals are concerned, the plastic-made One E8 is just the One M8. And now, the Taiwanese manufacturer may be looking to get more people to buy their product.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the device will now come with a new blue version and is now available in Hong Kong. This will add to the other color options for the One E8 which includes white, black and red. The good thing about this version is it comes with a matte finish, which means the device would be less prone to fingerprints and smudges at the back.

Unfortunately, we are not yet sure whether the blue version will only be available in Hong Kong or it would arrive to other markets as well.

Meanwhile, in case you are looking for a flagship level device that has a premium build quality, then the HTC One M8 could be the ideal smartphone for you. But just in case you cannot afford such a pricey handset, the One E8 is certainly a decent alternative.

While the phone does not have the premium metal weight, it still packs high-end specs which include a Snapdragon 801 chipset, quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM and a 16GB of internal memory.

In case you are not a fan of the HTC Duo Camera that has a 4MP UltraPixel sensor and a secondary depth sensor on top, the One E8 offers a 'conventional' 13MP camera which may even work better. In front is still the 5MP shooter which is among the best in the market today.
