Aston Villa will face off against rival Newcastle United on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Aston Villa, coming out of a 1-0 victory over Stoke City, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert believes the arrival of Tom Fox as Chief Executive can help get the rest of his team's transfer targets, the Birmingham Mail reports.

"If I can do it and I think it's right for the club, and everything is good financially and players want to come then it's something I would look at," Lambert said, according to the newspaper.

"Until you get that far then... wait and see. But we are trying."

Newcastle United, coming out of a 2-0 loss to Manchester Ciy, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew said that Shane Long, Ross McCormack and Jordan Rhodes are "not good enough," the Chronicle Live reports.

"I think the most important thing for us is we stay focused on what's happening and we are," he said, according to the site.

"The limitations in the forward market are very easy to see. Jordan Rhodes has gone (for big money) and the price of the lad from West Brom (Shane Long) and the boy who went to Fulham."
