The NBA trade rumors somehow still involve Kevin Love. This time, the Phoenix Suns allegedly making calls to Minnesota offering a sign and trade for Eric Bledsoe. Will that change Flip Saunders' mind.

Apparently not, as the Timberwolves President for Basketball Operations is pushing through with the trade that will send Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and the Miami Heat's first round draft pick next year.

ESPN had the report:

"With just hours to go before a planned megadeal that would send Kevin Love to Cleveland, the Phoenix Suns reached out to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday to ask once more about the possibility of acquiring Love in a sign-and-trade for guard Eric Bledsoe, sources told ESPN.com."

However, Windhorst clarified that the Suns were not too aggressive. They understand that Minnesota went through lengths before they finally decided on the Cleveland trade. Basically, they were just taking a chance if Minnesota would be interested in their star point guard, and the answer was "no."

The larger implication here is that Eric Bledsoe's relationship with the Suns is truly on the rocks. There were already rumors that the Phoenix ownership and front office are shopping their disgruntled guard, but this is the first time that an actual inquiry has been reported.

ESPN clarifies the situation:"Bledsoe has made it clear he is seeking a five-year, $85 million maximum contract from the Suns. He would consider only a max deal in a sign-and-trade, which would be four years and $64 million, with any other team, sources said."

Obviously, Minnesota would not take on Bledsoe's high price tag. He plays the same position as the team's best player (in the aftermath of the Love trade) Ricky Rubio. Rubio is the Wolves top asset until the time that Andrew Wiggins proves the hype is all worth it.
