Katie Holmes movies are hot again. Katie Holmes' career is coming back in full force with a bunch of new movies that will come out in the next couple years.

 The "Dawson's Creek" actress says she doesn't blame her ex-husband, the actor and renowned Scientologist Tom Cruise, for the "dry spell" she experienced in her career during their marriage.

Katie Holmes shot to fame early with the popularity of her TV series Dawson's Creek, but when she was married to Tom Cruise after the birth of her daughter Suri in 2006, her career had a lull.

Holmes recently told Dujour Magazine "You have dry spells and then you have times when there is a lot of opportunity."
"I think I've gotten more comfortable with acting over time. Early on, I could never get out of my head. I'd be thinking, 'I have to get the job.' And even when I had the job, I was afraid that I was going to get fired, or I just had the mentality of, 'I need to be good enough.'" 

The 35-year-old actress said "I've always sort of approached it that way. You have to continue to do the things you want to do and not let outside forces dictate. ... I was afraid that I was going to get fired... But the more projects you do, the older you get, the more life experience you get, you start to understand storytelling better. So you're a little bit more confident going in. You're not afraid of getting fired: You just want to contribute."

"Even early on, when I was a young actor and all of a sudden people knew who I was, my dad told me, 'Don't let that change how you live your life,'" Holmes said.

According to TMZ, The Dawson's Creek actress and her eight-year-old daughter Suri will be leaving New York for a $3.79million home in Calabasas, California. Katie says she feels L.A. is a better place to raise Suri than New York. Katie lived in Beverly Hills prior to her split from Tom Cruise, when she moved to the Chelsea section of New York City.
