"Dancing With the Stars" says two-time champion Julianne Hough is returning to the DWTS competition for Season 19.

Julianne Hough returns to Dancing With the Stars for Season 19. The two-time DWTS winner Julianne Hough will be the new fourth judge on the reality show. 

Dancing with the Stars pairs professional dancers with celebrities and athletes in a weekly ballroom dancing competition. DWTS pros Karina Smirnoff, Sharna Burgess, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Val Chmerkovskiy have been paired with celebrities like Drew Carey, Danica McKellar, James Maslow, Meryl Davis, and Billy Dee Williams.

Julianne was a professional dancer on the show from season four through season eight. Julianne Hough announced her return Thursday, Aug. 21, Good Morning America.

Hough told People Magazine "My role is to encourage and be supportive, and to also be candid and honest and try not to beat around the bush, to be too politically correct. I want to give critiques so they can improve. I'm not there to be harsh or cause a controversy. I won't be mean or malicious. That's not who I am. That's not my role at all." 

"Dancing With the Stars" Season 19 returns on Sept. 15. "Dancing with the Stars" Season 19 premieres on Sept. 15. Tom Bergeron will return as host alongside Erin Andrews. Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli all return as judges.

Dancing With the Stars producers hit Twitter to confirm the news, tweeting, "It's Judge @juliannehough! #GMADancing #DWTS RT if you're excited!"

Co-host Erin Andrews told FOX411 "I loved having Julianne. She came on the season when I was on, and she was great," she told FOX411. "The Houghs really put 'DWTS' on the map. Derek's amazing. Julianne is a sick dancer. Any way that they can make the show better and more exciting for the fans is amazing."

Julianne has made a few guest appearances on DTWS over the years. Hough sat in for judge Len Goodman on one of last year's shows.

Julianne Hough is a professional ballroom dancer, country music singer and actress. Her first leading acting role was in the 2011 film remake of Footloose. Hough was nominated for a Creative Arts Primetime Emmy in 2007 for Outstanding Choreography in season five of DWTS.

Dancing with the Stars season 19 premieres on Monday, September 15 @ 8/7c on ABC!
