Levante will face off against rival Villarreal on Sunday, placing two of La Liga BBVA's closely followed teams against each other.

Levante, entering its first match of the season, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Levante manager José Luis Mendilibar recently commented on the upcoming game.

"In theory, the fatigue may be there, but the mental boost they received from such a win will have helped them in other ways," he said, according to Inside Spanish Football.

"They are now out of the qualifying round, which was a tricky thing for them, so it's a relief. They don't have to be worried about the next tie, they can focus more on this game now."

Villarreal, also entering its first match of the season, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Villarreal manager Marcelino García Toral also spoke about transfer news.

"We expect a definitive solution for this week," García Toral said, according to Sky Sports.

"I believe that Musacchio will stay with us but I cannot confirm this 100 per cent."
