Betty Who Hits The Today Show With `Somebody Loves You'; RCA To Drop Debut Album 'Take Me When You Go' on Oct. 7

Singer-songwriter and musician based Betty Who will perform her first single "Somebody Loves You" on the Today show Wednesday, August 27.


"Somebody Loves You" comes off Who's debut LP "Take Me When You Go," which will be released by RCA records on Oct. 7. The album follows Who's EP, 'Slow Dancing' which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Pop Chart.


Betty Who recorded most of the album's twelve tracks in Los Angeles' Westlake studio in collaboration with writers and producers Claude Kelly, Martin Johnson, Mag, and Starsmith.

'Slow Dancing' racked up six million streams on iTunes.


Betty Who appeared on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers.


Betty Who was born  Jessica Anne Newham in Sydney, Australia. Sje was trained as a classical cellist since the age of four. She moved to the United States in 2007, show now lives in New York City. Newham's debut EP The Movement was released on 16 April 2013 as an independent, free-download. On Sept. 11 2013, Spencer Stout uploaded a YouTube video where he proposed to his boyfriend in a flash mob dance routine at a Salt Lake City, Utah Home Depot. The video went viral. The song that was playing was Who's "Somebody Loves You."


Betty and her band will also support Katy Perry in Australia in November.
