South Park Season 18 Release Date, Matt Parker And Trey Stone Sell Streaming Rights To Hulu, Will Do 10 Episodes In Fall Instead of 7 Episodes Fall And Spring [PHOTO]

"South Park" Season 18 release date will be September 24, a Wednesday.

Comedy Central broke the news, along with several others of their flagship shows, including the likes of Tosh.0, which premieres on August 26, and Key & Peele which will join South Park on September 24.

"South Park" still gets great ratings after 18 seasons, and last years "Black Friday" trilogy was proof that Matt Parker and Trey Stone still can make that perfectly blended satire magic happen. The epiosde trilogy was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour).

DVD and Blu-ray sets of the last season will go on sale just prior to the premiere, on September 16th.

It was also recently announced that every episode since the first season will be available shortly on the Hulu streaming service, while Hulu Plus subscribers will also gain access to the latest episodes the day after they air on Comedy Central. These episodes have previously streamed on South Park Studios, which will no longer have the episodes.

Stone said "We have 247 episodes now, so we've got plenty to feed different windows and different experiences. Content came out of its hole, saw its shadow and ran back to the hole for protection. What we do is expensive, it takes a lot of people, and it makes sense to put it through windows in a way that produces a lot of value. We do what we do because we act like we own the staff and try to surf whatever wave is out there."

At the beginning of last year, Matt Parker and Trey Stone decied to do less episodes of South Park per year, opting to do a 10 episode run in the fall, rather than 2 seven episode runs in the fall and spring.

Again, South Park season 18 release date will be September 24.
