Google Nexus 8 Motorola Release Date, Specs: New Nexus X Phone Specs Leaked, Boasts Snapdragon 805 Chip, 3GB RAM, 2K Display

Google Nexus 8 Motorola release date is one of the most anticipated smartphones today because it will pack the latest and newest Android version, Android L, which was already previewed at the I/O Conference a couple of months ago.

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date looming around, and the iPhone 6 just around the corner as well, Google needs to re-establish itself as a maker of smartphones as well, sort of. And in recent reports, the search engine giant has reportedly tapped Motorola to work on the new version of the Nexus smartphone.

Even before the new Nexus phone gets announced, it already gets a number of different names from 'Shamu' to 'Nexus X', it just confirms that there are really some things which we still don't know when it comes to branding.

However, as far as rumored specifications are concerned, the new Android-powered handset will be a beast and a sure match to anyone who wants to stand in its way.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the device just made an appearance in AnTuTu Benchmark which revealed its specs, though we should still take this with a grain of salt.

In the listing, Motorola's version of the Nexus phone will pack some serious specs which include a 5.2-inch display with a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core CPU that runs on a lightning fast 2.7GHz, Adreno 420 GPU for unmatched graphics processing, and a 32GB built-in memory.

In the report, there is also a 13MP primary shooter at the back while we don't have details yet on the front-facing camera. Just like previous Nexus phones, the Nexus X (a.k.a. Motorola Shamu) will come with Android L out of the box.

We expect the new Nexus phone to be announced by late September or early October. We just hope that it gets the right pricing.
