Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Specs: Fingerprint Sensor Feature Will Boast More Functionality, Includes App Assignment, Account Sign-Ins And More

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs are expected to be the best in the business today, just like the ones which powered the Note 3 last year.

One feature in particular is the device's fingerprint scanner which will be the first sensor of such sort in a Samsung phablet. Earlier this year, the Korean manufacturer unleashed the Galaxy S5, its first smartphone to boast a fingerprint scanner.

To distinguish itself from the Galaxy S5, the Note 4's scanner will reportedly be much better in terms of functionality.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the fingerprint sensor will not only be able to unlock the screen or authorize PayPal transactions. Apparently, the Galaxy Note 4's version of the fingerprint scanner will be much more than that.

In the report, the feature will also enable users to assign a specific application or function for each fingerprint, using what the report calls as Fingerprint Shortcuts feature.

In addition, the fingerprint scanner can also be used to in Web Sign-in where the user can replace the username and password with just a finger swipe. We still can't confirm whether this means Samsung has been working with social media firms in order to support this future, but if that is the case, then it adds to the awesomeness and popularity of the Galaxy Note 4 even before it is announced.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs are expected to take on the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 which should be released before the end of the year. Earlier this month, the Korean tech giant unleashed the rival of the 4.7-inch edition of the iPhone 6, which is the Galaxy Alpha.
