The Bachelor Season 18 Chris Soules On Andi Dorfman From The Bachelorette Season 10: 'She Encouraged Me'

The next "Bachelor" has been confirmed to be Chris Soules, and it seems the leading man is ready for season 18.

"I mean, coming from a small town I never really expected to have this opportunity to be on either show let alone to be the lead on 'The Bachelor,' so it's been awesome," said Chris Soules according to E! Online.

"It's my mom's favorite show."

Previously, it was rumored that Arie Luyendyk Jr. would be the next "Bachelor," but ultimately confirmed him not being in the running on Twitter.

"I'm not the Bachelor, have fun on the farm people," Arie tweeted on Twitter. "Thanks for the kind words everyone. It wasn't meant to be, and I'm okay with it. Happy I can move forward."

Chris Soules last appeared on "The Bachelorette" season 10 featuring Andi Dorfman, and the new "Bachelor" affirms he is ready for love despite having fallen for the Dorfman.

"Absolutely, that's why I am doing it," said Soules. "I believe in the process, I believe in what I went through on the previous show and that's why I am doing it. I wouldn't do it if I didn't feel like [it]."

Reportedly, Soules is still friends with Dorfman, who also encouraged him to appear on "The Bachelor" season 18.

"I've been able to remain friends with Andi and she encouraged me to just be myself! I am going to do my best and think I'll do well. I'm looking forward to it."
