"Dragon Age Inquistion" developer BioWare announced the game's four-player cooperative multiplayer mode yesterday, and publisher Electronic Arts released a trailer, which you can watch below.

Apparently, the mode is entirely different from "Dragon Age Inquisitions" single player story mode. There will be 12 characters to choose from and they must complete quests, fight enemies and collect loot. Going through the game mode unlocks better loot and gold, however none of it transferes to single player story mode.

IGN has the first details on "Inquisitions" multiplayer component. Designed for short play sessions, the co-op quests are smaller chunks of larger, randomly generated maps. IGN's got some hands-on time with the game, and had this to say:

"In my first run through the Elven Ruins, my team fought through a graveyard full of (shared) gold hidden behind doors only accessible by mages. The next time through, the graveyard was replaced by something else, with destructible walls only breakable by the brutish kick of a warrior one of us may or may not have decided to play. In addition to these Elven Ruins, Inquisition's multiplayer visits Tevinter and an Orlesian Palace, with more locations to come.

In other news, "Dragon Age" is said to bring intereaction between the player and NPC's into an entirely new dimension of complexity and depth. Simply conquering another's affections, and notching a win on the bed-post, is not the point, according to creative director Mike Laidlaw.

"Let's not have gifts that buy affection. Let's not have sex be the end goal," he said in an interview with IGN. "Let's instead try and reach for something that's like genuine affections... let players enjoy that, and feel like, yeah, that's a real thing."

"These are real people and it's okay to care about them," he said. "I think to some degree there's a joy to escapism when it's okay to care."

"Dragon Age Inquisition" Release Date will be November 18 on all platforms.
