Kate Bush's Comeback Concert Wowed Fans; Celebrities Flocked The Singer's Performance After 35 Years

Kate Bush's comeback concert wowed not only fans, both celebrity and otherwise, but critics as well as the songstress showcased her talent again after 35 years of hiatus.

Much to the delight of fans, Kate Bush's comeback concert "Before The Dawn", which was announced and sold out in March, finally pushed through last Tuesday in London.

It appears as though the music industry had been clamoring for Kate Bush's comeback, as fellow musicians flocked the concert hall to witness her perform again. Critics have nothing but good words to say about her performance.

Some of the celebrities in attendance during the concert held in Hammersmith Apollo were Lily Allen, David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Holly Johnson, Marc Almond, Gemma Amerton and Bjork.

Bush is making waves again after a 35-year hiatus which was reportedly prompted by stage fright. In an interview with UK's Radio 4 in 2011, the singer said: "I do have the odd dream where I'm on stage and I've completely forgotten what I'm meant to be performing - so they are more nightmares than dreams."

While some are reportedly mad about the singer not performing two of her most famous hits "Wuthering Heights" and "Babooshka," majority of those who watched the show have high praises for Bush.

A review by the Telegraphed gushed "there was something thrilling about seeing the often bonkers but still delightful imagination of Bush run free after all this time, apparently untouched by the frenetic pace of the digital world."

NPR music's Ann Powers highlighted the messages of Bush's songs, saying: "I've never head music like this before - music made by the women that wasn't strictly about falling for a guy, that instead ran on the fuel of wild feminine imagination distilled from myth and fairy tales, and fed by the isolation of being that weird girl in class that nobody knows how to befriend."

While the singer's comeback is taken step-by-step, fans have Bush's son Bertie to thank for the inspiration. "Without my son, Bertie, this would never have happened. Without his encouragement and enthusiasm, particularly in the early stages when I was very frightened to commit to pushing the 'go' button, I'm sure I would have backed out," she said.
