iPhone 6 Release Date: Mark Your Calendars On Septemberr 9 As Apple Prepares For Press Launch, iWatch Getting Announced As Well?

The iPhone 6 release date is finally here.

Earlier today, Apple has finally sent out invites to its upcoming press launch, and it will be on September 9, just as previous rumors claim.

There was a also a time that the rumored press event would be on September 19, though some rumors claim that the Cupertino manufacturer has moved the iPhone 6 release date closer to the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, which has already been announced.

In the image released by Apple, it simply consists of the date and an enlarged Apple logo at the background - nothing more. Of course knowing Apple, while it may be eager to let everyone know about the upcoming press event, it would certainly refuse to share any bit of detail about its upcoming devices.

According to reports, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will finally be announced after months of speculations and rumors. Some alleged specs of Apple's newest smartphone will include a sapphire display, a more curved and rounded design, still the same 8MP camera but with better functions, a 64-bit A8 chip, the Touch ID fingerprint scanning home button, and iOS 8 which adds a number of features to the phone.

These details are hardly surprising as we've already read and heard about them in the past months.

What is exciting however, is the alleged launch of the iWatch, which is tipped to pair with the iPhone 6 at its launch. As more smartwatches from the Android realm continue to flood the market, it may be high time for Apple to finally place a wearable device that runs on iOS.

The question now is whether it would be more beautiful than the Moto 360 or even the new LG smartwatch G Watch R. The two devices are not yet available in the market, but they could be released anytime soon.
