Go Pro Hero 4 Release Date Rumors, Leaked Specs, And Info: Newest Action Camera Will Push FPS and Resolution Limits [PHOTO]

The GoPro is a small, durable, camera that can be used for taking action phots, worn as a helmet cam or around the neck. Their latest camera, called  named the GoPro Hero 4, is set for an October release.

As the Hero 3 was equipped with an ARM A7 processor, the Hero 4 could be getting a new Cortex-A9 processor chip with an FPU accelerator. The upgrade in processor is likely as the newer chip will enable the Hero 4 to capture photos and videos at 4K resolution. Video capture will be possible in 30fps when with the Hero 3, 4K video capture was only achievable at 15fps.

Of course, the Hero 4 can also record videos at a lower resolution but will result in a higher frame rate - 1080p at 120fps or 720p at 240fps. This will allow users to record full HD videos at smoother frame rates, especially with high-speed sports and activities.

The new GoPro Hero 4 is also rumored to have a 13-megapixel photo-sensor which will enable the camera to take photos and videos in the dark. This will be especially useful for late night high-speed drives or other night related activities.

Here are all the rumors around the new camera. According to new leaked information, the Go Pro Hero 4 was is expected this summer or fall. Dgise.com claims the release date is in Octobler. An official release date has not been annouced;however, the Hero 2, and Hero 3 were boh launched in the fall.

According to a leaked press release, there are a few clues on the possible features to be included in the GoPro Hero 4 edition. Rumors say it can shoot ultra-HD, 4K resolution videos at 30fps. It will also be able to shoot 1080p videos at 120fps and also 720p videos at a high of 240fps.

This camera is also expected to come with interesting features like multi-exposure as well as HDR WDR tone mapping, improved MCTF, as well as an electronic image stabilizer. There is also the possibility of the camera coming with a waterproof housing with a flat lens feature for underwater shots of up to 60m deep.

According to the same rumors, the GoPro Hero 4 is expected to retail at $340. The Go Pro 3, however, (which this camera is rumored to be better than) costs $600. So the price range could be anywhere in there.

The GoPro Hero 4 expected to come with a dual-core A9, 1GHz ARM Cortex processor, which is better than what is on the Hero 3.

The camera is also expected to come with a 13MP sensor and a new technology lens that is optimized for dark area shoots. The GoPro Hero 4 is also expected to come with a Wi-Fi module as well as HDMI and USB ports, which make it easier to stream and sync footage.

It is expected that this camera will have the ability to capture still images in video shoots and may support H.264, MP, BP, MJPEG and HP Level 5.1formats.

The camera may be available in silver, black or white.
