Apple being the first in the smartphone market is facing a rigid competition from different Android phone manufacturers, Sony is one of them.

Apple's latest flagship offering the iPhone 5S is quite falling behind competition like the Sony Xperia Z2.

So let's take a look of these two devices and find out which one is the best.

According to the article of Christian Post, iPhone 5S comes in at 4.0-inch screen with a lower 1136 x 640 resolution and  iPhone 5S, with a 5.2-inches 1920 x 1080p full HD resolution screen. The iPhone 5S comes in "64-bit A7 chip with a dual-core 1.3GHz processor and a 1GB DDR RAM and the Xperia Z2 on the other hand has a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 processor and a 3GB RAM," according to the article by Christian Post.

Moreover, iPhone 5S comes with an iOS7 operating system which is quite different than the previous one. While Sony Xperia Z2 runs on 4.4 KitKat and has its own interface.

In terms of the camera, iPhone 5S offers 8 MP rear camera while Sony Xperia Z2 offers 20.7 MP rear camera.

Furthermore, according to the article of Fuse Joplin, the battery capacity of Z2 is 3200 mAh while iPhone 5S is equipped with Li-Po 1570 mAh. Apple iPhone 5S can manage to make handsets durable for several days while Xperia Z2 has a larger screen to power up, thus requiring more battery capacity.

The cheapest iPhone 5S version (16GB), costs around $900, while for Z2 is around $800.
