Sony Xperia Z1 Price, Review: Android Handset W/ Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core Processor Sports Premium Design, High-End Camera Feature

Sony Xperia Z1 price, review: The premium Sony handset, the Sony Xperia Z1, includes a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and a 5-inch display. It also has 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage expandable up to 64GB, and can be upgraded with the latest Google mobile OS. The 20.7MP camera it has is deemed one of the best in the market today.

The former flagship is priced at a little under $400 and could be a hard sell, considering that it competes with a sea of other equally capable Android handsets.

Having a measurement of 5.67 x 2.91 x 0.33 inches and a weight 170 grams, the Xperia Z1 has a IP58 certified dust proof and water resistant body that can last for 30 minutes under 1 meter of water. In one look, it is undeniable that the Xperia Z1 is the spitting image of its predecessor the Xperia Z. However, the latest Xperia is more curved and premium looking.

Its 5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen has an impressive full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with a pixel density of 441 ppi. The Z1 packs the technology of the Sony Bravia TV, producing sharper and more vibrant images. However, it is a bit behind the Samsung Galaxy S4 when it comes to color depth and brightness. Still, it is great for watching movies and playing games.

What makes it an even better companion is its powerful processor that can definitely multi-task and run advanced apps.

Aside from its stunning display and impressive processor, the Xperia Z1’s primary camera shoots a 20.7 MP camera with 5248 х 3936 pixels, autofocus, LED flash. Its only drawback is its lack of image stabilization that affects its video and lighting quality.

So in the end, does it deliver to be a powerful smartphone?

According to Engadget.com, “The Z1 ticks all the main boxes for a cutting-edge Android flagship, with superb 20-megapixel stills being an added bonus. However, if you're looking for the very best cameraphone on the market, this isn't it.”

Although some critics are saying that it is not good enough to be at the top of the league, the Sony Xperia Z1 is still a premium quality smartphone with impressive design, display, and processor.
