"Orange is the New Black"'s Laverne Cox is booked to appear in two episodes of MTV's "Faking It."

The Emmy-nominated "Orange is the New Black" star Laverne Cox will reportedly play the role of Margot, an alum of Hester High who takes on the job of being the director of the school's drama club.

The character which Cox will give life to is descrbed by Entertainment Weekly as "demanding, intense and full of herself. While holding auditions for the drama club, Margot puts hopefuls through a ghastly series of exercises, all designed to strip them down to their cores."

According to Bustle, the addition of Cox in the show's second season prompts changes and developments in the gay characters in the series, skewing towards making it "more LGBT friendly."

Apart from Cox, there will also be newcomers in the show. "Awkward"'s Yvette Monreal was reportedly cast for the role of Regan, whose character is "rebellious and confident. A hip DJ [who] is also an out and proud lesbian."

Also coming in for the show's second season is "Pretty Little Liars"'s Keith Powers, who will portray the character of Theo, a "laid-back guy's guy who enjoys working on cars, playing pool and making girls blush."

The first season of the show failed to receive stellar reviews, with one by Trish Bendix saying that "it's disheartening that a show like 'Faking It' could have so much potential with smart writing, a great set of actors and a provocative premise, and then have its relevance and credibility destroyed with the last few minutes of the season finale."

With the addition to the show and a perceived promise of change, "Faking It" returns for its second run on September 23 on MTV.

Apart from her return for the third season of the show "Orange is the New Black"'s Laverne Cox is also slated to appear on Bravo's "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce."
