Tracy McGrady Rumors: Will He Be Making a NBA Comeback? McGrady Works Out With Kobe Bryant to Test His Body [PHOTO]

Retired All-Star Tracy McGrady could be making a NBA comeback, according to an e-mail he sent to Adrian Wajnarowski of Yahoo Sports. The e-mail confirmed that McGrady had been spending time working out with Kobe Bryant as a way of testing whether or not he was prepared enough to make a comeback next season.

McGrady told Yahoo that he worked out with Bryant for a three times a week for a period of time in August. He wrote, "Yes, I was working out with K.B. to get in shape and see how my body feels," explaining his thought process.

Yahoo reports that McGrady won two regular-season scoring titles and was selected first or second team all NBA five times during his 15-year career. He began his career in 1997, when he was chosen ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors.

Later in his career, he experienced knee and back injuries that ultimately took a toll on his body and caused diminished game performance. According to Bleacher Report, McGrady last played with the San Antonio Spurs during the 2013 postseason, where he failed to score a point while missing all seven shot attempts. He publicly retired from the NBA in 2013.

However, his athletic career did not come to a complete halt. He went on to pursue professional baseball and spent several weeks as a starting pitcher with the Sugarland Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League. His baseball career was not long-lived, though - he retired from baseball after recording a strikeout in the League's All-Star Game.

It is unclear whether or not McGrady will be coming back into action yet. Reportedly, at least two NBA teams were contracted over the summer about their potential interest in McGrady, and both of them declined. McGrady himself seems unsure about his future with the NBA, and has said that he will not be making an official decision regarding his career until October, when he will be returning from a trip to China.
