Finally Released From Their Record Label, Faith No More Poised For A Comeback: Band Working On First Album In 18 Years

Faith No More is making a comeback! The alternative-metal band who made waves in the 80s is back with a new album after 18 years.

The Faith No More comeback album - which is its first since cutting ties with their previous label -- is set to hit stores in April 2015 and will be released under the band's own imprint Reclamation Records and distributed by Ipecac Recordings.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the band's bassist Bill Gould talked about their newly founded recording label. "The name has to do with the fact that we realized we were free from our recording obligations," said Gould. "We weren't touring, we have these songs that we were working on - that we think are pretty cool - and why don't we just do ouw own imprint and kind of 'reclaim' our future, in a way? We own the future more than we ever have."

Apart from the unnamed new album, whose first single "Motherfucker" was premiered in July and will be released on November 28, the band will reportedly also go on tour.

Fans will be in for a treat as Gould mentioned about the way the Faith No More's comeback album will have their signature sound but will be mixed with the experience they have for playing for many years.

"What I can say is that I think through our experience as musicians over the years, I think what we're doing reflects where we've gone since we made our last record as Faith No More. I think this kicks things up a notch ... Everything we do, with our chemistry, the way we play; it's always going to sound like us. It's just what we do, that makes us feel good," Gould said.

Faith No More disbanded in 1998 and reunited in 2009. Their most recent musical effort called "Album of the Year" was released in 1997.
