Nexus 9 Release Date, Specs Detailed, Rumored To Include LTE Version, Magic Cover Case, Keyboard Folio, Launch Date On Or Before October 9

The Nexus 9 release date is one of the most awaited slates in the industry today, and given its rumored specs it is bound to trump the competition when it gets announced.

According to a recent report by BGR, upcoming leaker @upleaks says that the Android-powered device would be announced in event on or before October 9.

Last year, the Nexus 5 was announced on the same period, and while this one is a tablet, it may still fall on Google's schedule together with the Nexus X or Shamu, which is made by Motorola.

@Upleaks also mentions that the device would come with a Wi-Fi and an LTE version, which should make the device a must-have for consumers who always want to stay connected in their social media accounts while on the go.

Aside from coming with the latest Android version out of the box, the Nexus 9 which is currently developed by HTC, will also support some accessories including a Magic Cover case and a Keyboard Folio for those who want to use it as a portable netbook.

According to rumors and leaks, the Nexus 9 will be one of the more powerful Google devices to hit the market, and with higher-end specs, that would mean a higher price tag.

In fact, previous reports claim that the 8.9-inch device may actually be the most expensive Nexus device ever. Some alleged specs include a metal frame, a QHD or 2K display, 3GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset which would make it a gaming beast.

There aren't a lot of new Android tablets recently, except the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact which was made official earlier today. That means the Nexus 9 will have little to no competition when it gets released by the end of October to early November.
