#Facebookdown: Trends On Twitter As The Popular Social Networking Website Crashes, FB Technical Team Apologises For The Down Time!

The social networking site, Facebook, has experienced website crashes on Wednesday for about 20 minutes, says in a report on Latin Post.

Facebook users have been left frustrated when the website crashed, "leaving members unable to log into their accounts," according to the report of the Australian.

The FB users who tried to log were greeted with a white screen and a message that said: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."

On the social networking site Twitter, the hashtag #Facebookdown began trending as many users became frustrated.

The celebrities began posting on Twitter asking if it was an error on their mobile phones or computer and clarifying the #Facebookdown.

"Is Facebook down AGAIN?" Jonathan Cheban of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame said. "Or is it just my Wifi???

"Things to do when Facebook is down: Tweet that Facebook is down. Things to do when Facebook is up: Tweet that Facebook is up," @nicole shared.

"Facebook is more dead than Albus Dumbledore right now. #facebookdown," posted Professor Snape of the movie Harry Potter in his Twitter account.

In a statement Facebook said: ""Earlier today we encountered an error while making an infrastructure configuration change that briefly made it difficult for people to access Facebook," in the report of the Australian.

"We immediately discovered the issue and fixed it, and everyone should now be able to connect. We apologise for the inconvenience and will thoroughly investigate this issue so we can learn from it and ensure that Facebook is there when people need it."
