Aside from "The Originals" season 2 spoilers, the series synopsis has been released as well. The second season will follow Klaus and Hayley's struggle as they cope with the loss of their baby, Hope. Despite their reservations, they were left with no choice but to have Rebekah keep the baby for her safety. After all, the season finale revealed Esther's comeback.

"The Originals" season 2 spoilers portray Hayley coping with postpartum depression. With Klaus, she will be creating plans on how to keep the town safe in an attempt to bring back their daughter.

However, the path is expectedly not smooth. Hayley's transition to a hybrid will entail big adjustments. Klaus might not be there for her as well as the synopsis hints that werewolves will be using Klaus' blood-forged moonlight rings. This, in turn, will dwindle his strength.

Rebekah will reportedly appear in the first three episodes of the second season. After that, International Business Times  reports that she might be returning on the season finale. Meanwhile, Elijah will be facing a difficult time as he faces Francesca and her werewolves on his own.

To make matters worse, the siblings will be surprised by the return of their vengeful parents. Will they be reuniting for a common goal? Reports suggest that Mikael and Esther will not immediately find out about each other's existence.

While Mikael is still determined to kill Klaus, Esther will be crafting a plan to torment her children:
