Nokia Lumia 930 Review: Current WP Flagship May Be Outperformed By Newly Announced Lumia 830, Find Out Why

A number of WP and Nokia fans may still be looking for Nokia Lumia 930 review articles, but most of them may not know that Microsoft and Nokia have already announced a new device that will surely get their attention.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Lumia 830 is a midranger, but it still offers some unique features that not even the best Lumia smartphone has.

For one, the Lumia 830 boasts a much thinner frame, and it is even considered as the thinnest WP-powered smartphone in the market today.

Other specs of the new Lumia smartphone include a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1GB of RAM and a 16GB internal memory.

Also on board is a microSD card slot, and a 10MP PureView shooter at the back, equipped with Nokia's thinnest optical image stabilization (OIS) module. In front is a 0.9MP snapper that is able to record 720p clips.

In the report, the device will come with Windows Phone 8.1 while it is still unclear whether it will get the latest GDR1 update or not. However, it comes with a new software exclusively for Lumia devices, dubbed Lumia Denim, which will reportedly improve performance and speed.

In the report, the Lumia 830 comes with a 2,200mAh battery which may not seem enough to last an entire day, though we'll see whether WP 8.1 integration and the new software would allow for a more battery efficient experience.

The phone reportedly costs €330, which is a lot lower than the current flagship, the Lumia 930.

In spite the respectable specs of the Nokia Lumia 930, a lot of consumers are still claiming that it may have been priced too steeply. Because there isn't much competition within the Windows Phone sphere, it should have been in the $500-600 territory.
