The details for a new trilogy of the Matrix are trickling in. The primary premise is that there are more 'Neos' and not just 'The One' played by Keanu Reeves. Will he still return for the movie?

Warner Bros. has been on the reboot trail for the past years. They are banking on the familiarity of franchises and the continued support of loyal fanboys.

Some of the new details appear:

Latino-review hinted at a possible storyline. The Architect in the second "Matrix" movie notes that Reeves' Neo wasn't the only "One" so it is possible the new movies could feature the many "Ones" so it is a possibility that Neo may return.

The new trilogy could feature the origin of the other "Ones" and also, how it would affect the Matrix itself. Fans are still clamoring for a more definite and detailed description of the Matrix because it seems like it was never fully explored.

To strengthen these claims, AICN received a scoop from an event that took place at the London International School of Performing Arts, where Keanu Reeves spoke to the class about his career while promoting his new movie "Henry's Crime." He spoke briefly about "47 Ronin" and "Bill and Ted 3," but the big news came when Reeves revealed that he met with the Wachowskis around Christmas. They told him that they completed script treatments for two more "Matrix" installments. They are planning to make the films in 3D and have already met with James Cameron to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the technology. Reeves added that he's excited to return as Neo and promised that the treatments will truly revolutionize the action genre like the first "Matrix" film did. 

Warner has two DC films scheduled from now until 2020 and they have room to run other franchises. The earliest possible start would be 2017.
