Zoe Saldana, Sienna Miller and Elle Fanning Cast as Female Leads in Ben Affleck’s Prohibition Film `Live By Night’

Probably watching too much "Boardwalk Empire," Ben Affleck is taking off his crusading caped Batsuit to adapt the prohibition movie, "Live By Night," based on a novel by Dennis Lehane. It was just announced that Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Elle Fanning will star.

Ben Affleck also wrote the adaption of the Dennis Lehane novel himself. The pair worked together on Affleck's feature directorial debut Gone Baby Gone, which was also based on a Lehane novel.

Deadline broke the story that Affleck found the stars.

Affleck with star as Joe Coughlin, the son of a Boston Police captain in the 1920s.Sienna Miller will play Emma, "the girlfriend of his mobster boss." Miller is already in two films that are getting buzz for the 2014, "Foxcatcher" and "American Sniper." Zoe Saldana will play Graciella Suarez, who Coughlin "meets later as he becomes involved in organized crime in Tampa."Zoe Saldana can currently be seen in the role of Gamora in the Marvel hit "Guardians of the Galaxy." Elle Fanning is Loretta Figgis, "a sheriff's daughter and aspiring actress who gets into trouble." Fanning was last seen in the Angelina Jolie starrer "Maleficent."

Besides Avatar and Star Trek, Saldana won an ALMA Award for her role in the film "Colombiana." She nabbed BET and Image Award nominations for "The Losers" and Jim Cameron's "Avatar." Saldana recently appeared in Out of the Furnace and will next be seen in "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy," "Blood Ties" and the animated movie "The Book of Life." Saldana's been on TV before in "Law & Order: SVU" in 2004 and starred in "Six Degrees" on ABC in 2006.
