Upcoming Windows Tablets 2014: This Toshiba Tablet Is One Of The Cheapest Windows Slates Around, Boasts 7" Display, Quad-Core Intel Atom Chip, 1GB RAM

There are already a number of cheap upcoming Windows tablets for 2014 which are available in the market, but if you are searching for a reliable brand, then you may want to check out this one from Toshiba. 

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Chinese manufacturer has unveiled a super cheap Windows tablet that will certainly be ideal for consumers who are looking for a portable device with decent specs. 

Dubbed as the Toshiba Encore mini, the Windows-powered tablet packs a 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.33GHz and 1.83GHz Burst Frequency, an Intel Atom Z3735G processor, and 1GB of RAM. 

Due to the device's entry level status, the Toshiba Encore mini only has an 8GB built-in memory, though that is compensated by a microSD card slot for storage expansion. 

While the tablet packs a microUSB port that can be connected to a a USB port through the provided USB cable, it does not have HDMI support that can allow users to plug the device to a bigger screen. 

In spite the preferred price tag of only $120, the Toshiba Encore mini still gets the basic connectivity options such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and even a 2MP camera at the back, and a VGA front shooter. 

The device runs on Windows 8.1 and should be a decent daily tablet to handle all the basic tasks you need at work or school. While availability of the device has not been revealed, it may be officially released in China in the coming days or weeks.
