Paul McCartney and Johnny Depp jammed with local Los Angeles blues men in a rare behind the scenes video.

The rare 30-minute video of Paul McCartney and Johnny Depp jamming with blues men is the actor's third time to appear in a music video by the Beatle.

After appearing on "My Valentine," Depp made a cameo for McCartney's "Early Days" video which debuted in July.

The unexpected video shows the musical legend and the seasoned actor playing the blues with artists Al Williams, Dale Atkins, Motown Maurice, Roy Gaines, Misha Lindes and Lil Poochie. Depp only played the guitar while McCartney sings "Matchbox" which, according to Rolling Stone magazine, is a song frequently covered by The Beatles when they were starting out. The group also performed a portion of "Goin' Away Blues."

In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, McCartney reportedly speaks about the jam session he did with Depp. "I happened to ring Johnny Depp. I said, 'Come along and we'll sit around and jame with these blues guys.' He said, 'Yeah, OK, count me in, man.' I knew it was an offer he couldn't refuse."

The legendary artist also discusses the making of the video of "Early Days." "It's a memory song for me, about me and John [Lennon] in the early days," said McCartney. "But Vince came up with this great idea: Instead of having young lookalikes of me and John walking the streets of Liverpool, guitars slung over our backs, and literally acting out the song, what if it was any two aspiring musicians? I thought that was such a cool idea."

The video of Paul McCartney and Johnny Depp jamming was released on the same day McCartney made an announcement about releasing a special collector's edition of his "NEW" album, which will be released later this year. The collector's edition will reportedly contain "highlights and exclusive material chronicling the release and promotion of 'NEW.'"
