GoPro Hero 4 release date: Mainly popular for its capability to take videos and even photos in extreme cases such as extreme sports that may be involved in impact, dust and other extreme weather possibilities, the GoPro Hero 4 is coming with its release date and is set to take the world by storm with its updated features that is expected to surpass the expectations of fans.

Rumored to be announced this October 2014 and hopefully scheduled to be released on March 2015, the GoPro Hero 4 is said to be the lightest ever built so far. Specs of the GoPro Hero 4 include a 4k-quality capability that can shoot videos at a very unique and sharp quality. Packed with an A9 chip to enhance the 4k capabilities with a 30 frames per second speed, which actually doubles the capability of the Hero 3.

An FPU-accelerator is reported to be included in the Hero 4 to give precision and excellent quality in every shot. This compact camera can record up to 1080p resolution with a rate of 120 fps and 720p with a rate of 420 fps.

Also seen in the previous models, the GoPro Hero 4 is equipped with a Wi-Fi module, a USB and HDMI port.

Prices for the Hero 3, meanwhile, are dropping hinting the near release of the 4. The black edition of the 3 are reportedly dropping from $399 to $329.

Meanwhile, fans speculate that the upcoming GoPro may be equipped with a 3D capture after basing the specs that the company providing the chips and processors that the compact camera has, Ambarella, is providing a new and advanced chip - an A9 4k Ultra HD Camera chip that can take videos at 30 fps making super smooth videos and a new 3D capturing chip is expected.
