Denzel Washington recently went on Reddit for his AMA (Ask Me Anything) and the former People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive recipient was game to answer questions, even those of a controversial nature.

Cinema Blend recounts the exchanges between "The Equalizer" and the "Redditors," one of the more notorious communities on the internet (though not quite at 4chan level yet).

"In his AMA, Denzel Washington hinted at the fact that Marvel was making a Black Panther movie. He was asked about superheroes, so he jumped on Green Lantern ("Didn't they do the Green Lantern? With Ryan Reynolds! Too late!") and mentioned, briefly, Marvel's mighty hero, T'Challa. As luck would have it, I was sitting down with Denzel Washington this morning in Toronto on behalf of his stellar thriller The Equalizer, and I brought up the buzz that circulated following his Marvel mentions. As it turns out, though, where's there's smoke, there is ... well, just smoke."

Cinema Blend also asked the direct question-did any representative from Marvel ever approach him to offer a role in a comic book movie? Denzel's short answer: "Nope."

And what if they eventually do ask him? The 59-year old's candid answer:

"I'm probably getting too old. They didn't make the Black Panther yet, though, did they? I heard that they have been talking about it. That's cool."

Well, not actually T'Challa, but they did point out that Denzel would be a perfect T'Chaka-father and predecessor.

There was also the subject of Denzel becoming the first black James Bond:

"Yes I would! Who's doing James Bond now..Daniel Craig! Did they shoot another one? Everybody should tweet Denzel is James Bond! Send it to the studio! We start the Denzel is Bond campaign today! James Washington. Denzel Bond."

The response was just a reflection of his enthusiasm, just before it blows up the internet.
