‘Attack On Titan’ Season 2 Release Date Still Unconfirmed: Compilation Film Set For November, ‘Attack On Titan: No Regrets’ Part One Scheduled For December Release With Manga Vol. 15

There's plenty of "Attack on Titan" news these days, but not the news that most fans want to hear about. While the "Attack on Titan" season two release date has yet to be confirmed, fans and news outlets continue to speculate the date to be next year, perhaps in late spring. Meanwhile, there's plenty of reformatted versions of the content coming, including the compilation anime film of the first half of the series, and "Attack on Titan: No Regrets," an OVA origins story for fan favorite character, Captain Levi.

In the latest news for "Attack on Titan" season 2, it is allegedly in production according to The Christian Post, but no premiere date has been set. Wit Studio, the animation specialists that are handling the popular series, have been pretty quiet about the upcoming anime adaptation. Fans and news outlets alike speculate a 2015 premiere, but it all depends on the release of the manga volumes 15 and 16 according to Hallels.

While awaiting the season two, "Attack on Titan" fans can keep their titan fancy satisfied with the upcoming anime film that will combine the first half of season one of the anime for form a feature length film. The most exciting part? There will be some never before seen footage. Crunchyroll reported that the official "Attack on Titan" site "announced that the film contains some never-seen-before footage including an episode when Eren and Jean were trainee soldiers." That's good news for any fan worried it will be rehashing of what's already been seen. The first film is due out November 22nd. The second half is set for sometime in 2015.

The final upcoming titan news is the scheduled release for "Attack on Titan: No Regrets." According to Anime News Network, "the new anime will come on two new original animation DVDs that will be bundled with the 15th and 16th volumes of the main manga on December 9, 2014 and April 9, 2015, respectively." Since the anime features the origin story for fan favorite character, Captain Levi of the Survey Corps, expect there to be quite a bit of buzz around the first release in December.

In some ways, no news is good news for "Attack on Titan" season two. The silence suggests that the animators are hard at work. Nevertheless, with the wildly successful series capturing fans all of the world, there's arguably no doubt they won't delay the new season without good reason.
