Sony Announces Tokyo Game Show Lineup: Includes Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix And Resident Evil Revelations 2 Starring Claire Redfield And Moira

Although the 2014 Tokyo Game Show is still quite a few days away, Sony announced its lineup and has video game fans excited for two games in particular, Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix and Resident Evil Revelations 2. Moreover, Resident Evil Revelations 2 is set to focus on fan favorite Claire Redfield and Moira, and this fact is causing a decent level of excitement amongst gamers fond of the survival horror genre.

Playstation Universe reports, "Sony has formally announced its jam-packed lineup for this year's Tokyo Game Show which kicks-off on Thursday, September 18, and runs until Sunday, September 21." The lineup has a plethora of games for the Playstation 4 and PS Vita, but only 2 games for the Playstation 3. Any fans worried about distancing from the console should know, one of the biggest games this year will be released on Playstation 3, perhaps indicating there's no reason to worry. That game is "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix" which will be available for demo at the Tokyo Game Show. Squaresoft has already released teaser trailers and the game is due out on December 2nd.

On the other side of the video game genre spectrum, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will also be available to demo at the Tokyo Game Show. According to IGN, "Resident Evil Revelations 2 is set to star series favorite Claire Redfield along with the daughter of Resident Evil 1's Barry Burton, called Moira." The game will follow the events between Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 at detention center, and will feature new enemies called The Afflicted. Since gaming blogs will certainly demo the game at the Tokyo Game Show, one can be sure that there will be more information on those enemies soon.

After the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia Press Conference, complete with new PS4 designs and game announcements, the Tokyo Game Show is shaping up to be exciting for Sony. And while there's no such thing as a "best of show" award for gaming companies featured at the event, Sony may end up with the most buzzed about games and consoles.
