Chicago Bulls Roster The Best Destination For 3-Point Specialist Ray Allen?

The Chicago Bulls roster is one of the favorite teams to win the Eastern Conference title, and even the NBA championship next season. And that is because this team will become an offensive onslaught for the first time in the Tom Thibodeau era.

Former MVP Derrick Rose will be making a comeback this season, and it looks like it will be for good as the 25-year-old guard has continued to play for Team USA at the FIBA World Cup which began almost two weeks ago.

Also joining the mix are Euro Star Nikola Mirotic, veteran big man Pau Gasol, and shooting sensation Doug McDermott. Not to mention other supporting players for the Bulls which include Aaron Brooks, Kirk Hinrich, Taj Gibson and Tony Snell.

Joakim Noah is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, and Jimmy Butler is an elite defender in the wing position.

The only missing piece is shooting guard that, well actually shoot threes.

Ray Allen may not have yet decided whether he would play or not, but almost a dozen NBA teams have already expressed their interest in getting the future Hall of Famer.

At 39 years old, Allen looks as fit as ever, which is the result of his tremendous work discipline and ethic which is admired throughout the league.

Previous reports claim that LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are the most probable destination for the veteran sharpshooter, though Allen clearly refutes that in an interview with Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald

"There's so much speculation about me going to Cleveland. I haven't even decided where I will play. Obviously LeBron and I are great friends, and James Jones and I are really close. But at no point have those two tried to push me in that direction. I haven't had that conversation."

As a shooting specialist at the guard position, Allen can have enough playing time to provide a great impact on the Bulls' offense. He can either start for Chicago, or come off the bench, like what he did with Miami for the past two seasons.

But the more important question now is whether Allen will postpone retirement and play another NBA season.
