One aspect that will contribute to the appeal of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" movie is its soundtrack and Lorde is making sure that each musical detail is under her control. Recently, the New Zealand-born songstress teased fans with a line from the soundtrack.

"I'm a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm," her post read which immediately pertained to film heroine Katniss Everdenn. Lorde will not only write and sing the film's lead single but will also curate the whole soundtrack.

Previously, Universal Republic Records tasked several musicians to come up with the soundtrack's theme. This time, the "Royals" songstress is the one who will make major decisions with regards to the soundtrack's direction.

Last month, Lorde talked to Billboard magazine about her task for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" movie:

"It's really been my baby, which is awesome. It's so rewarding, but it blows my mind that this massive studio has just handed the reigns over to a 17-year-old. I've literally been doing it by myself, contacting every artist, sorting everything out."

Lorde, however, did not disclose the identities of the other artists who'd be included in the soundtrack. She just mentioned that fans would be "surprised."

As for Director Francis Lawrence, the creative team does not doubt Lorde's skills despite her young age: "Her immense talent and keen understanding of Mockingjay's characters and themes not only have enabled her to create a song of her own that completely captures the film's essence, but her insight and passion for our project make her the perfect creative force to assemble the other songs on our soundtrack."

Some of the artists who previously contributed to the film franchise's soundtracks included Taylor Swift and Coldplay. The official "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" movie soundtrack will hit shelves on November 18, a few days shy from the film's premiere.
