‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Cast: Chris Evans Makes Directorial Debut! After Passing The Torch, Will Her Give Up The Shield As Well?

Chris Evans, who plays Captain America in his solo movies and in "The Avengers" had an interview with MTV, where he skillfully dodged the burning questions. Read between the lines on what he's really saying.

From MTV, he narrowly spills the plot for the Captain America 3:

"It's this giant web of plot, where everything is connected to everything else... that's the beautiful thing. and especially for the fanboys who understand these plotlines. With Cap 3, we're going to continue this excitement."

MTV asked him about the rumors and his answer was-interesting:

"Well, Chris, those fanboys, us included, have a bunch of theories about the sequel, mainly that Cap will split from the Avengers and lead a new group of heroes.

Evans: What do I think about this, what can I say about this? You wanna give something!

MTV: Come on, Chris. You're almost there!"

In typical Marvel fashion, it's vague and cryptic: "Marvel doesn't disappoint. Whatever you're hoping for, you're probably going to get."

Moving on to the other rumor:

"MTV: Another rumor is that Cap might hand off the shield to one of the other characters, though Evans was not happy with that one.

Evans: Who's handing off the shield? Don't take my job from me prematurely dude," Evans said. "I'm sure it'll happen at some point, all good things have to come to an end. But I'm really happy playing the character."

That's just about as far as we can go. Meanwhile, Evans has already directed a full length film and he talked to IndieWire on how director Joss Whedon reacted:

"Did he give you any tips?
No, he didn't give tips. No director can give tips. It's like asking an actor what to do. You can't give tips. Because you can't give someone tips on how to act. You can give someone tips on how to behave. So they couldn't tell me how to direct. Edgar Wright is a good friend of mine and he would be like, 'Listen, don't be above advice. Don't forget your surrounding people and what they're doing. These are people who do this for a living. Lean on them. Use their advice. Don't let your pride turn this into an island.'"

On Joss Whedon's dilemma for "Age of Ultron"

IW: "As you continue to do Marvel movies, do you worry about having to continually raise the stakes in each film while still giving the audience what they want?

Evans: Well luckily it's not my job! As a director, when you go back to acting, you go "oh all I have to do is act?! Good luck guys! I will be in my trailer!" That's the beautiful thing of going back to just acting. I don't have to worry about it. You obviously care, but when you're doing a movie as big as Avengers, there are a lot of cooks in the kitchen, there are a lot of people who are very concerned with those expectations, because these movies are meant to satisfy a huge number of people. On these movies, you almost don't want to get in the way."

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' opens on May 1, 2015 and 'Captain America 3' opens on May 6, 2016.
