Apple iPhone 6 Phablet: New 5.5" iPhone 6 Plus Is The Most Powerful iPhone Ever, Boasts Full HD Display, Thin Frame, 25% Faster CPU, 50% Better GPU

Finally, after months of speculations, the Apple iPhone 6 phablet has been unveiled, together with the 4.7-inch version of the iPhone 6.

Dubbed as the iPhone 6 Plus, the Apple smartphone can be easily considered as the most powerful iPhone yet.

Its 5.5-inch display is certainly leaps and bounds ahead of the previous generation models, and it is made even more better with an IPS screen with Retina HD, which is translated to Full HD (1920 x 1080). That results in a ppi of 400, another first for Apple.

Like previous rumors, the device will be a more rounded handset compared to previous generations of the iPhone. There would be rounded edges, and an ionized aluminum for the frame of the device.

Like most Android flagships today, getting a curved shape may likely allow consumers to use the Apple phablet easier.

As the flagship device, the iPhone 6 Plus boasts an 64-bit A8 chip, and runs on the latest iOS 8 version. It has also been fitted with a chip so thin that the device only measures 7.1mm on its width.

In spite the thinner frame, the iPhone 6 phablet is 25 percent faster in terms of CPU performance, and 50 percent better in processing graphics-intensive tasks.

Similar to the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus gets the same 8MP shooter at the back with True Tone dual-LED flash. But unlike the 'lower-end' iPhone, the Apple phablet will boast optical image stabilization (OIS), the first ever in a smartphone made by the Cupertino manufacturer.

Other specs on board include 20 LTE bands as well as VoLTE. There is also Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth on board. Stay tuned for more updates about Apple's first ever phablet.
