'Yowamushi Pedal' Updates! 'Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road' Release Date Announced And Key Visual Revealed, New ‘Yowapeda’ Film Trailer Unleashed

Fans of the popular anime series "Yowamushi Pedal" get some exciting updates today as a new trailer for the feature length film version "Yowamushi Pedal Re: RIDE" was released. Most importantly however, the official premiere date for the second season was announced to be October 6th and a new key visual was revealed for the upcoming second season, featuring the returning cast in their cycling uniforms.

Anime News Network reports, "TOHO Animation began streaming the second trailer for the Yowapeda (Yowamushi Pedal) compilation film on Tuesday. The trailer features the theme song "Days" by Lastgasp." They go on to explain that, "Yowamushi Pedal: Re:RIDE" compiles the first half of the Inter High arc from the first television anime season. More importantly, some cuts of new footage was added, so there's a real incentive to get to theaters when it's released in a "limited two-week engagement from September 19 through October 2 in 10 Japanese theaters."

In addition to this news, a key visual for the second season, "Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road" was also revealed. This is sure to cause quite a stir since "Yowamushi Pedal" season two was voted to be the third most anticipated anime airing this fall. The new visual features the main cast back in their cycling uniforms, ready for another epic race.

For those who have yet to see the series, The Fandom Post describes the plot: "Onoda Sakamichi is a rather timid, anime-loving first-year student at Sohoku High School. Upon entering high school, he tried to join the anime research club, but after meeting Imaizumi Shunsuke, a renowned cyclist since middle school, and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he ended up joining the competitive cycling club."

The official air date for season two has finally been announced! Fans can look forward to the series on October 6th. The Fandom Post speculates that the series will get a simulcast by either Crunchyroll or Hulu, but there has been no official confirmation. Either way, it's an exciting day for "Yowamushi Pedal" fans.
